Hydrochloric acid

Physical characteristics: It is a liquid with a yellowish color and a pungent odor. Application: Acidification process, including in oil wells, boiler scale removal, ore reduction, metal cleaning, used as a solution in water (about 10% by weight) in the preparation of salt ink (cleaner and remover of various surface masses, etc.). Stability and interaction: Heat is generated when mixed with water. Splashing and boiling may occur. Strong bases should not be contacted. Contact with sulfuric acid, amines, bases, carbonates, oxidizers should be avoided. It is corrosive to some metals. Contact with common metals may produce volatile hydrogen gas. Emergency and hazard response: In case of leakage, immediately stop the leakage while wearing a mask and gloves. Collect the spilled material if possible. Neutralize the remaining material by adding materials such as limestone, lime, and sodium carbonate. Restrict the environment until the contamination is completely eliminated. Clean the environment by trained personnel. Handling and storage: Store the product in closed containers in a cool, well-ventilated place. Keep away from incompatible materials such as flammable materials, metals and alkalis. Do not store in polyethylene or natural rubber containers. Packaging: Supplied in bulk in polyethylene tanks or 220 and 1000 liter polyethylene (HDPE) drums.
