How a dishwasher works The dishwasher begins the washing process by filling its tank with water. During the filling stage, it is best not to have any other taps open in the house and to have good water pressure. In the second stage, the water filled in the dishwasher tank is heated. The water should be warm enough for the dishwasher detergent to dissolve easily and be sprayed on the dishes. In the third stage, the dishwasher shoots jets of water at the dishes. The water is sprayed on the dishes along with the detergent. This spray of water causes the grease on the dishes and small pieces of food to be removed from the dishes and they are ready to be washed. If the dishes are very dirty, the dishwasher will not be able to clean them all. The fourth stage is emptying the dirty water. In this stage, the dishwasher collects the water that has been spilled on the dishes from the throw and drains out of the water drain pipe. The fifth stage is to spray excess water on the dishes for rinsing. In this stage, completely clean water is poured on the dishes so that the dishwasher can completely remove the detergent. The sixth stage is to empty the dirty water again. The water that is poured on the dishes goes out through the drain pipes until the rinsing stage of the dishes is completed. The seventh stage is to dry the dishes. The dishwasher heats the dishes so that the dishes are completely dry and clean.
