The TM-100 modem is a telecommunication modem with 2G/4G connectivity and equipped with an RS485 electrical port, and it structurally supports the DLMS protocol. In the DLMS protocol over the RS485 interface, data exchange is performed using the Direct HDLC format, while at the application layer the transmitted format must be DLMS Wrapper. Accordingly, the modem acts as a format conversion unit, converting data between Wrapper and Direct HDLC formats. The operating process of the modem is as follows: commands sent from the central management software are received by the modem, converted into Direct HDLC format, and transmitted to the connected device. Subsequently, the data received from the connected device is converted into Wrapper format and sent back to the software. All communication interactions between the modem and the central management software-including the transmission and reception of commands and data, as well as modem configuration and telecommunication infrastructure settingsare carried out in accordance with the DLMS/COSEM standard. The TM-100 modem supports both local and remote configuration, providing flexible deployment and management options.
