In various studies related to the treatment of obesity and hyperlipidemia, the effects of herbs used in this drug have been proven as follows:
In one study, the effect of cumin aqueous extract and endurance exercise on cardiopulmonary capacity and serum lipids was evaluated. In this study, 40 hypercholesterolemic rats were classified into four groups: control group, endurance exercise, cumin, and endurance + cumin. The duration of the study was 6 weeks and cumin was prescribed at a dose of 20 mg / kg per day. The results of this study showed that endurance + cumin exercise can significantly increase cardiopulmonary capacity (p <0.001). Cholesterol levels also decreased significantly in this group compared to the endurance exercise group and the control group (p <0.05). LLD in the endurance exercise + cumin group decreased compared to the control group (p <0.01). Also, HDL in the two groups of cumin and endurance exercise + cumin showed a significant increase compared to the control group (p <0.001 and p <0.05, respectively). Triglyceride also decreased in cumin group compared to the other three study groups (p <0.05). This study showed that cumin seeds have a significant effect on reducing serum lipids and increasing cardiopulmonary capacity.
