Kouhdasht Lavender Honey is a distinctive Iranian monofloral honey produced from the nectar of Nepeta binaludensis, a rare perennial aromatic plant native to specific mountainous areas of the Binalud mountain range in Khorasan, Iran. Locally known as Ostokhoudous (Lavender), this nectar-rich plant is an important honey-producing species in the region.

The plant grows naturally in mountainous areas around Frizi, Zoshk, Dowlatabad, Kang, and surrounding regions of the Binalud range. Its abundant, high-quality nectar provides bees with an excellent floral source, resulting in a dark-colored honey with a distinctive and pleasant taste.

Kouhdasht Lavender Honey is recognized among local beekeepers as a specialty honey, and beekeepers traditionally relocate their hives to suitable mountainous areas during the flowering season to produce this monofloral variety. In traditional use, the plant and its honey have been associated with digestive, respiratory, and general wellness applications; however, these traditional uses should not be considered established medical treatments.
