Ambient air always contains some water vapor, which increases after the compressor compression process and at its outlet. Since air fluid molecules, unlike water molecules, are compressible, this means that, for example, 1 cubic meter of air compressed at 7 bar contains the same amount of water as 7 cubic meters of air surrounding the compressor. In simple terms, the dew point is the temperature at which water vapor turns into a liquid (condensation). According to the concept of dew point, the warmer the air, the greater its ability to absorb moisture. Conversely, as the temperature decreases, the air's ability to retain moisture decreases and heavier water particles are separated from the air.
