Centrifugal compressed air compressor

Compressors are divided into two general categories based on the process mechanism: positive displacement compressors (such as piston, screw, and scroll) and kinetic energy compressors. One of the distinctive features of a centrifugal compressor is its radial thrust flow, which is classified as a dynamic compressor according to the type of compression process. In fact, in this series of compressors, the pressure (and consequently the temperature of the fluid) is increased by increasing the kinetic energy of the cooled gas, which is done by rotating blades.
