Metoextend extended-release tablet 23.75 mg

Methotrexate is a beta-blocker medication used to treat angina, congestive heart failure, and high blood pressure. Correct dosage: Depending on your response to treatment, your doctor may prescribe a higher or lower dose. Do not take more than your doctor tells you to. The dosage is determined by your doctor, but the usual dosage is as follows: Adult use: Angina: Initial dose: 100 mg once a day The dose may be increased weekly to achieve the desired effect. Maximum dose: 400 mg per day Atrial flutter or fibrillation: Maintenance dose: 50 to 400 mg once a day Prevention of atrial fibrillation after heart surgery: Initial dose: 50 mg once a day Dose adjustment is based on the patient's hemodynamic response to the maximum tolerated dose. Maximum dose: 200 mg/day Heart failure with reduced cardiac output: Initial dose: 12.5 to 25 mg once daily Increase dose gradually to the highest tolerated dose. (Dosage increases should be monitored for signs and symptoms of heart failure.) Maximum dose: 200 mg/day Hypertension (adjunctive therapy): Initial dose: 25 to 100 mg once daily Adjust dosage at weekly or more frequent intervals based on patient response to therapy. Maximum dose: 400 mg/day (usual dose range is 50 to 200 mg once daily.) Secondary prevention of MI: Initial dose: 25 to 50 mg once daily Adjust dosage based on heart rate and blood pressure, up to 200 mg once daily if tolerated. Supraventricular tachycardia: Maintenance therapy: 50 mg once daily Maximum dose: 400 mg once daily Ventricular arrhythmia: Sustained ventricular tachycardia, sustained ventricular tachycardia or electrical storm (hemodynamically stable), prevention of ventricular arrhythmia: 25 to 100 mg once or twice daily Unstable ventricular tachycardia or ventricular premature beats, symptomatic: 25 to 100 mg once or twice daily Substitution of immediate-release form (metoprolol tartrate) with sustained-release form (metoprolol succinate): The same total daily dose of metoprolol should be used. Metoprolol tartrate is usually taken in two or three divided doses per day and metoprolol succinate as a single daily dose. Substitution between oral and injectable forms: In most cases, equivalent beta-blocking effect is achieved when a ratio of 1:2.5 (injectable:oral) is used. The total daily dose of approximately 100 mg/kg should be administered in 4 equally divided doses. Due to interindividual differences, the stated ratio may vary; the exact ratio will be determined based on the patient's response to treatment. Use in children: The safety and efficacy of this drug in children have not been established. Use in the elderly: Use in the control of blood pressure in the elderly with reduced doses.
