Compressed air dryer

Ambient air always contains some water vapor, which increases after the compressor compression process and at its outlet. Since air fluid molecules, unlike water molecules, are compressible, this means that, for example, 1 cubic meter of air compressed at 7 bar contains the same amount of water as 7 cubic meters of air surrounding the compressor. Water vapor condenses into water at low temperatures and can be dried by separating and reheating the air. This process occurs in Refrigerant Dryers. They can bring the humidity in the air to at least +3 degrees dew point and practically will not be able to go below this value because these types of dryers separate water from the air by cooling and condensing the water in the air. Due to the risk of water freezing at lower temperatures, it will not be possible to separate water vapor molecules at lower temperatures. Water molecules are adsorbed onto the surface of moisture-absorbing materials that are capable of regeneration. This process occurs in PSA dryers.
